Kevin PetersAs Southwest Director of the Association of Customs and HSI Special Agents (ACHSIA), Kevin represents the organization’s members across the southwestern United States. In this role, he serves as a liaison to the board of directors, collaborating with fellow board members to advance ACHSIA’s mission, foster connections with HSI leaders and employees, and expand membership within the region.

Mr. Peters started with the U.S. Customs Office of Investigations in 1987 in Minneapolis Minnesota. He worked in the Minneapolis office for ten years, working in all case categories. In 1991 he was awarded the “Commissioner’s Award” for  “...outstanding ability to manage the complexities involved in his diverse investigations and for maintaining an excellent case development program for future cases”.

After ten years of conducting investigations in the field, Mr. Peters was transferred to headquarters where he worked as a desk officer in Foreign Operations, desk officer in Financial Investigations, and as an operations manager in Operations-Central. In September 2001, Mr. Peters went foreign and helped open the attache office in Manila, Philippines. He served there as assistant attache and later as attache for five years before returning to HQ briefly to finish out his career as a section chief.

After retiring from HSI in 2007, Mr. Peters opened a security consulting company which he maintained for 11 years. In 2018 he retired to the Phoenix, AZ area.
