Ann Mary Fleury (May 20, 1943 – September 20, 2022) was a dedicated and deeply respected administrative professional whose work quietly undergirded the training-mission of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) at their Brunswick, Georgia (Glynco) location. She passed away at the age of 79 at her home on September 20, 2022 in Brunswick, Georgia.
It is universally acknowledged that Ann was the go-to person for every training, travel and personnel detail affecting FLETC attendees and especially the countless new agent arrivals and veteran trainees who passed through Glynco.
She administered and approved travel in the CATS system for all FLETC attendees, ensuring that students, instructors and staff alike had what they needed to get to and from training. She issued the daily TECS Messages covering all matters of FLETC operations, such as scheduling, logistic support, personnel announcements, making sure everyone was on the same page. She handled virtually all HR-related coordination for the training centre: arranging selections, coordinating travel logistics, resolving personnel issues, and interfacing across agencies and units.
Many former trainees and instructors remember her by name because she made everything run smoothly: the trains arrived on time, the paperwork was done, and people felt supported.
Ann’s work ethic and attention to detail meant that many new agents arriving at FLETC felt they were in good hands from day one, and that seasoned staff knew they could rely on her for vital support.
Her memory lives on in the many lives she touched and the institution she helped sustain.
Visitation will be held on September 23, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Golden Isles Cremation Center/Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family.
