ACHSIA sadly reports that former U.S. Customs Service Special Agent David Kleinz passed away from illness on August 18th, 2025.

David began his federal career in 1975 in Houston, Texas as a special agent with US Fish & Wildlife. In 1985, he transferred to US Customs in Yuma, Arizona and eventually retired from the Phoenix, Arizona office when it was still just the Resident Agent in Charge Office in 1995. In retirement, David worked as an investigator with the Arizona Attorney General’s office. 

David was humble and went peacefully in his last moments, therefore no funeral or memorial services have been shared.
